A group of women gathered outside the Family and Social Policies Ministry today to protest government's abortion polemics, CNNTürk has reported on its website.

"Women are here, where is Fatma Şahin (the Family and Social Policies Minister)?" the women shouted.

Police reportedly detained 27 women after the protesters tried to pass a police barricade and go in the ministry building.

I wonder where Turkey's form of government will stand in one years time and I am not optimistic about it!

Erdogans stormtroopers, the Ankara and Istanbul police will no doubt bully, beat and incarcerate women into domination of their bodies by old, tired men of the AKP.

All that's needed now is a five year sentence for each and everyone of them as per Turkey's judiciary, right? Regards

How dare these women protest about something that is to do with their rights, do they not know they have no rights,

A woman's scorn...... I hope that the strong Turkish woman hits the streets to protect the rights of those who cannot openly protest. I know they have this ability. Go get them girls! And where is that minister who is supposed to be protecting women's rights.
