Where is the media leg of this attempted coup?

Where is the media leg of this attempted coup?

On the topic of Zekeriya Öz, the former prosecutor investigating coup charges but who now himself is being charged with a coup attempt and has fled to Armenia, I think the festivities are over and we need to talk about serious matters (when I say festivities, I mean the ones that are organized by his former partners).

What are Zekeriya Öz and two other prosecutors charged with? A coup attempt, right? I am not saying that; the prosecutor of the case and “your neighborhood” are saying that. Let me ask with the “in” phrase for the past six years: “Well, where is the civilian leg of this coup attempt?” Are you not going to investigate the ‘media leg’ of this attempt?”

I know you are all exhausted from “Zekeriya festivities,” you suffer from temporary amnesia… It does create forgetfulness, this intoxication of depth…

But I am in a good state of mind. If you wish, let us go back to these days; let me remind you.

Remember what you were doing in those days. The coup-staging Zekeriya would give instructions, you would make headlines. Zekeriya would call you, order you and you would write them in your columns. This was not a coup according to you; it was a “revolution.”

With your disgusting expression that you kept on repeating, one which I do not want to ever repeat, you said you were “cleaning the bowels of Turkey…”

Actually, you were filling them…

Your politician had declared himself “the prosecutor of the case.” What should we name the prosecutor of the prosecutor now? You were volunteer aides. How many lives, how many souls did you ruin upon the orders of Zekeriya? You nicknamed people; you shattered their private lives…

Today’s fugitive was a person, for you in those days, whose statue should have been erected. You, on the other hand, were the malign sculptors of the coup…

Well, he ran away but you do not have even a tiny hole to hide in. There is no escape for you. The victims of that day will get ahold of you and question you. If what he did was a coup attempt, then what was it you were doing? Now you name yourself in this dark past, in this coup attempt case…

Accomplice of the coup-stager, the media leg of the coup, the civilian politics leg of the coup… Or maybe this is better: The “clapper of the coup…”

Victims

I know how they will defend themselves. I hear them in advance. They will say, “It was not us, they were the ‘ones from the parallel structure.’”

Well, not this time… You will not be able to fool anyone this time. If you say something similar, the victim of that day will shout at you, “You were all there, you were all present there, man.” The victim of that time will ask you, “Did we use that popular song those days and use it like the national anthem; the one that said you walked together on those roads?”

They would remind you of these days, maybe re-arrange that beautiful song accordingly…

Zekeriya coup plan

A new name has to be found for the coup former prosecutor Zekeriya Öz is charged with attempting to stage. It may be called “hammer plan,” but since a hammer will look weak beside a “sledgehammer” and will make them look like the real victims of the sledgehammer case, maybe a name such as “spiked mace plan” could be preferred…

It could also be called the “Beyaz TV case.” But because it will remind the real victims of the “Odatv case,” a more creative name could be sought.

A name equivalent to “Ergenekon” can be found, that would sound as offensive to millions of ears…

Or, let us name it openly and descriptively: “The dirtiest and lowest conspiracy of the darkest interim regime in the history of the Republic of Turkey…”
