A representative from a women’s platform was removed from the room by private security guards after attempting to ask a question of Family and Social Policies Minister Ayşenur İslam during her speech at the Women and Justice Summit on Nov. 24.

The woman, who is reportedly a member of “We Will Stop the Murders of Women Platform,” interrupted İslam’s speech as the latter stood up to speak, saying she demanded to ask a question.

Security officers immediately approached the woman, covered up her mouth, and forcibly took her out of the room as the minister continued her speech.

“Please politely take our friend out and I will respond to her question later,” İslam said.
