Vanuatu women beach volleyball team heading for FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour in Antalya

Vanuatu women beach volleyball team heading for FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour in Antalya The Vanuatu women beach volleyball team of Miller Pata and Linline Matauatu will play at the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Antalya Open, to be held in Antalya on May 10-15.  

It will mark the second FIVB World Tour event in Antalya and Vanuatu women’s beach volleyball team first event in Turkey. 

The event continues the Road to Rio that lasts until June 13, 2016 with FIVB World Tour events counting towards the Olympic Ranking in order to determine the 15 of 24 spots for each gender that will take part in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. Vanuatu players Miller Pata and Linline Matauatu with their coach Jason Lochhead will travel to all FIVB World Tour events schedule from February to June 2016 throughout Asia, Europe, South America and America with the aim to be inside the top 15 Olympic Rankings to qualify for the Rio Olympic Games. 

The Vanuatu women beach volleyball team’s current Olympic Ranking is 18th they need to finish 9th or higher in Antalya to improve on their Olympic Ranking.
