UK Ambassador to Turkey becomes Beşiktaş member

ISTANBUL

U.K. Ambassador to Ankara, Richard Moore, a dedicated Beşiktaş fan, has become an official member of the club, according to a statement on the Black Eagle’s official website on Sept. 21.

Beşiktaş Chairman Fikret Orman presented the top British diplomat in the country with his club card for membership to the Beşiktaş General Assembly.

“It is a great honor to be part of this sports club. I have been following Beşiktaş closely since the days of manager Gordon Milne. We have won two national titles during the past two seasons and we are ready for more,” the site quoted Moore as saying after receiving a card and team jersey.
