Two Turkish women have been found dead in Lake Powell in
the U.S. state of Utah, according to Utah-based news site ksl.com.
The 21-year-old women, who were identified as Betül
Eryıldırım and Merve Tokel, had been working at a concession stand at a marina
on Lake Powell for the summer.
Tokel’s floating body was first discovered on Aug. 8 by a
boater; divers subsequently discovered Eryıldırım’s body yesterday evening.
The women had told friends that they were going to the
beach for a few hours on Aug. 8.
"At this point, no foul play is expected," a
local sheriff said. "But investigators are treating the incident as a
homicide until it can be ruled out."
