Two killed while drinking in Central Anatolia

In the Akçadağ district of the central Anatolian province of Malatya, suspects opened fire on four people who were drinking alcohol and fled, leaving 2 killed.

Following the armed attack on Şemsettin Algan, Osman Günay, Enver V. and Sedat G., district gendarmerie command and 112 Emergency Services teams were deployed to the scene after a tip-off. Teams confirmed that Algan and Günay were killed.

After an examination, the two bodies were brought to the Akçadağ State Hospital morgue. Enver V. and Sedat G. were taken to the gendarmerie to bear testimony.

Security forces declared that the attack was judicial based rather than political. An ongoing investigation and operation are continuing to locate and capture the suspects. Relatives of the two deceased had nervous breakdowns, after hearing about the attack.
