Turkish students in Darth Vader, Jon Snow costumes protest exam system

A group of students cosplaying as “Game of Thrones” and “Star Wars” characters protested their universities’ practice of cancelling make-up examinations in the Mediterranean resort of Antalya on May 11. The student group from the Akdeniz University Faculty of Law staged their protest in front of the rectorate building, as other students supported the group by applauding.“Jon Snow came back, the make-up exams will also come back,” read one of the banners, as the group shouted slogans involving Darth Vader from Star Wars. “Darth Vader is not dead, he is fighting for the make-up exams,” shouted the students.
Private security officials and riot police formed a barricade in order to prevent the students from entering the rectorate building, while a student from the group entered it to give the petition.
