Turkish police detained 11 people on suspicions of being members of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in simultaneous raids in three provinces across the country on Nov. 23.

Eight suspects were detained in the eastern province of Bingöl, two were detained in the northwestern province of Balıkesir, while one other was apprehended in the southeastern province of Diyarbakır. 

The simultaneous raids were conducted as part of an investigation under the aegis of the Diyarbakır Public Prosecutor’s Office. 

The 10 suspects who were detained in Bingöl and Balıkesir were sent to Diyarbakır.
