A pilot had an epileptic seizure on a plane before its planned departure from Nicosia to Istanbul, daily Hürriyet reported.

The incident took place on August 6 at the Nicosia Ercan Airport. According to eyewitnesses, a pilot fainted in the airport’s cafeteria at 6:05 p.m.

One hour later, while passengers were waiting for the plane to take off, the chief pilot made an announcement saying there was a technical fault causing the plane to be delayed. Some passengers said the chief pilot was the same pilot who fainted in the airport cafeteria.

After then the chief pilot left the cockpit and talked to the passengers. He claimed he was fine and he had no health problems. But he then had another epileptic seizure.

All the passengers were subsequently transferred to another plane to continue on to their destination of Istanbul.
