Turkish military hits PKK targets in northern Iraq

Turkish military hits PKK targets in northern Iraq Turkish warplanes hit targets belonging to the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) targets in northern Iraq on April 23 in two separate air operations, the Turkish General Staff has announced.

"An air operation was conducted with four F-16 and six F-4 2020 warplanes between midnight and 2 a.m. to the spotted PKK targets in Sinath, Haftanin and Metina regions in northern Iraq as a result of evaluating intelligence. Another air operation was conducted with two F-16 warplanes in spotted PKK targets again in Metina region between 7.30 a.m. and 8.10 a.m. as a result of evaluating intelligence. All spotted targets were destroyed," the General Staff said in a statement.
