Player moves in the Spor Toto Super League picked up speed yesterday after Trabzonspor announced that it was in talks with Locomotive Moscow for the sale of striker Burak Yılmaz, while Kasımpaşaspor announced that it had agreed terms with Swedish goalkeeper Andreas Isaksson.

Fenerbahçe also announced that its midfielder Issiar Dia had concluded a transfer deal with Qatari champions Lekhwiya Sports Club.

In a statement filed to Istanbul Stock Exchange yesterday, Trabzonspor said Burak Yılmaz, who was Turkish league’s top scorer last season with 33 goals, would leave the club if an agreement was reached with the Russian club. No transfer fee was disclosed in the statement, however media reports suggested that it would be around 6 million euros.

Also yesterday, Kasımpaşaspor agreed on a three-year deal with Swedish international goalkeeper Isaksson, who played for his country at the Euro 2012 in Poland and Ukraine last month.
Capped 96 times, the 31-year-old is the first overseas signing this season for Kasımpaşa.

Leaving PSV Eindhoven

Isaksson started his career at Trelleborgs in 1999, then spent time at Juventus before winning two league titles and a Swedish Cup at Djurgardens, who he left for Stade Rennais in July 2004. He joined Manchester City after featuring for Sweden at the 2006 World Cup, and moved on to PSV Eindhoven after Euro 2008, where he made 123 league appearances.

The third transfer story came from Fenerbahçe, which will receive 4 million euros from Dia’s transfer to Lekhwiya Sports Club. “An agreement has been reached for the transfer of Issiar Dia to the Qatari club,” Fenerbahçe said in a statement, adding that the transfer fee would be four million euros.

The 25-year-old had previously played for French first division side Nancy and joined Turkish first division outfit Fenerbahçe in 2010. However, he failed to impose himself at the Istanbul club and they have not opted not to renew his contract.
