Two journalists who have been captured by Members of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) are now released and back in Turkey, private broadcaster CNN Türk reported.

PYD have captured two Turkish journalists, who were in Syria to cover the unfolding events, Anatolia news agency has reported earlier.

The journalists were in Aleppo when the PYD members stopped their vehicles. They were then handed over to a village official.

They were kept there until the evening, at which point they were put inside an unidentified vehicle and sent off to an unknown direction.

The journalists' rescue have been mediated by the Free Syrian Army, the report said.
