Turkish jets ‘neutralize’ 10 PKK militants in northern Iraq

Turkish jets have “neutralized” 10 outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) militants as part of counterterrorism operations in northern Iraq, the army said on April 25.
Turkish authorities often use the word “neutralized” in their statements to imply that the militants in question either surrendered or were killed or captured.
In a statement, the Turkish General Staff said the warplanes had conducted airstrikes targeting the PKK in the Avaşin-Basyan region on April 24.
