Turkish Havaş begins providing ground handling services in Medina

Havaş Saudi Arabia, the first Turkish company with a ground handling services license in Saudi Arabia, has begun providing its services in Medina as part of Pegasus Airlines’ Umrah operations included in its service network, the company said by a written statement on Feb. 24.

Operating at Madinah Airport, Havaş Saudi Arabia, a subsidiary of Havaş, Turkey’s long-established ground handling services company, has signed an agreement with Pegasus Airlines to render ground handling services, the company said.

To acknowledge the first flight of Pegasus, crew and passengers were welcomed and presented flowers by Havaş Saudi Arabia officials.

“We are glad that Havaş Saudi Arabia, which we established to provide ground handling services in the Middle East region, signed an agreement with Pegasus Airlines for their Umrah flights to Medina. We will provide ground handling services for approximately 200 flights that Pegasus will launch to the Holly Lands. We render ground handling services at 25 airports in Turkey and seven airports in Europe. We continue to grow locally and internationally to offer services at home and other countries in the region by expanding our service network by making new collaborations with Havaş Saudi Arabia,” said Havaş Acting General Manager Kürşad Koçak.

Havaş Saudi Arabia will render ground handling services for approximately 200 charter flights that Pegasus will launch to Medina for Umrah operations. Umrah operations are planned to be launched as daily reciprocal flights. Providing ground handling services to Atlasglobal and Monarch Airlines at Madinah Airport, Havaş Saudi Arabia offers passenger, ramp, presentation and management, flight operations/load control and communications, cargo and mail services.

Havaş, the long-established ground handling service company of Turkey, provides service under the roof of TAV Airports.
