Turkish forces bomb crossborder targets
DHA PhotoTurkey’s Air Force bombed crossborder locations in Iraq last night following attacks by the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), daily Milliyet has reported.
Nearly six Turkish F-16 planes bombed camps in Zap and Metina in Northern Iraq for about four hours last night.
The operation began around 8:30 p.m. and ended after midnight.
PKK members attacked five different locations with long barrel arms and rocket launchers earlier today in the southeastern province of Şırnak, including a police department and military apartments.
One policeman was killed and two were wounded.
