Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu will soon be removed from his office, main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) deputy Gürsel Tekin claimed during a televised interview on CNNTürk yesterday.
Tekin said the "talk in political circles" was that Davutoğlu was going to be removed from office soon and replaced by Namık Korhan, Ankara's former ambassador to Turkish Cyprus.

Tekin mentioned the removal of the foreign minister while he was talking about Turkey's foreign politics.

"The foreign minister has not only got the AKP [Justice and Development Party] and the prime minister into trouble, but he has also got Turkey [into trouble]," Tekin said.

Bagis was possibly selected for the role to reflect Turkey's opinion of the priority of actually joining the EU: Not high! And I do not blame them! As for the topic matter, CHP are perhaps being hopeful!

Mr. Davutoglu is wthout a doubt the best FM Turkey has had in it's history. Level headed and respected on the international stage. Along with the AKP a success story of Economic and political achievements that are the envy of the EU. The CHP on the other hand lack policies and seem just to play politics and criticize without ant real alternative policies produced. Turkey is now a regional Superpower in the region and that is no thanks to the CHP!

What poor memories some people have! Before Davutoglu hit the scene our foreign policy was virtually non-existent and Turkiye's position was at t..he bottom rung of the ladder.Davutoglu has brought vision and substance to our foreign policy. He has made henry Kissinger look like an almost ran with his fast jet setting relentless and tireless energy on the job.He is a credit for his party and for Turkiye and he has single handedly given us Turks our pride back.We are ahead because of Davutoglu.

CHP does not have any constructive policy for the country to increase its votes. Tekin is good in spreading rumors. It is a wishful thinking of Tekin to divide the AKP. Has Tekin given a "Magic Wand" to Davatoglu to solve each and every problem of Foreign Policy as Turkey has been becoming an important power in the region? That USA and Western Powers expect Turkey to solve the Syrian crisis, it illustrates the importance of Turkey. Emerging democratic Arab countries have respect for Turkey.

@Red Tail - Sir, please do not equate Mr. Davutoglu with Mr. Bagis. While the style of first is that of a acomplished Diplomat, the style of the later is that of an argumentative street urchin with manners to match. Both man work for the same Boss, the style of Mr. Davutoglu helped to put Turkey onto top rungs of World's Diplomatic Scene!

What ever we say cant change anything? So we deal with the current situation. Look at it from an objective stand point, they are just sacrifising our country. Where is the ''zero problems policy''?

Davutoglu certainly should resign. His Syrian policy is a disgrace. Of course, he is not the only one to blame for this criminal policy of supporting a terrorist organization in Syria. Gul and Erdogan, if not Arinc, are equally responsible.

Conjecture, hearsay your honor! or wishful thinking. You can't denigrate this noble policy of "zero problems" Unfortunately we have dubious neighbors. One bankrupt trying to keep up with TR militarily. Another a basket case..thanks to the ever loving yanks. A power mad fool who doesn't know when to let go. One after decades of Soviet rule thinks it doesn't have any other issues? etc..

I think Mr. Davutoglu is a successful FM, we will see how his foreign strategies will turn out in 10 years. He will be legand.
