The 5th Bodrum Turkish Films Week will be organized between Sept. 29 and Oct. 4 in the southwestern resort town.

At a press conference held on Sept. 22 at the Trafo Bodrum Hakan Aykan Culture and Arts Center, Bodrum Cinema and Culture Association head Cenk Sezgin said many films will be shown during the event this year.

He said that as well as film screenings, the festival would organize talks every night with the participation of artists and directors.

Bodrum Mayor Mustafa Kocadon said Turkish Films Week also brought together people who had never gone to a movie theater. “The films are open to the public for free. They really come and see films. This is the social dimension of the event. We thank everyone who contributed to this,” he said.

The Bodrum Turkish Films Week will host the gala of a film every day. Among them will be Semra Dündar’s “Aşk Nerede” (Where is Love) and Caner Özyurtlu’s “Yok Artık” (No Way).

The films will be on the screen at the Bodrum Castle and Cinemarine movie theaters.
