Turkish films in Frankfurt

The 13th Frankfurt Turkish Film Festival will open on Oct. 27, and will continue until Nov. 3 with more than 40 films.

Actors and actresses such as Zeki Alasya, Halit Akçatepe, Hale Soygazi, Gülşen Bubikoğlu, Sadi Çilingir, Tunca Arslan, Füsun Kostak, Caner Ural and Deniz Yayın are among the guests of the film festival this year, which is supported by the Turkish Culture and Tourism Ministry and the Frankfurt Culture Attaché.

The opening of the festival will feature a concert by Kerem Görsev and Şevval Sam, and there will be panels and documentary screenings during the festival along with a short film contest.

Films such as “Aziz Ayşe” (Saint Ayşe), “Ateşin Düştüğü Yer” (Where the Fire Burns,) “Yeraltı” (Underground), “Kurtuluş Son Durak” (Kurtuluş: The Last Stop) will be screened at the festival, for Turkish, German and world film producers and experts.

In the competition section of the festival, Turkish films will also compete for a prize.
