Turkish Cyprus hotels get funding

Turkey has implemented a grant program to develop tourism in Turkish Cyprus in 2012.

This move came short after a similar initiative by the Turkish government for the industrial and agricultural sectors of Turkish Cyprus.

Accordingly, 19 Turkish Cypriot facilities have been chosen as eligible to receive a total of 3 million Turkish Liras in 2012 from Turkey.

The names of the 19 Turkish Cypriot touristic facilities eligible to receive these grants were announced on April 4 at a press conference held in Nicosia.

Tourism is one of the main sources of income for Northern Cyprus.
