Turkish band maNga to perform at Salon’s stage maNga is at Salon İKSV tonight to give the first concert from its third album. The concert starts at 9:30 p.m. and tickets are available at Biletix booths. One of the most succesful bands of Turkey’s alternative music scene, maNga2s career started when it took second place in the “Sing Your Song” contest with their very first song “Kal Yanımda” (Stay with Me). The self-titled debut album was released in 2004.

Selling more than 180.000 copies, maNga earned a Gold Record award. The song, “Bir Kadın Çizeceksin” (You Should Paint a Woman) was also included in the EA Sports FIFA 2006 computer game soundtrack. Their second album “Şehr-i Hüzün” (City of Grief) was released in 2009. maNga also won “Best European Act” award at MTV Europe Music Awards 2009. In 2010, 2010, maNga competed in the 55th Eurovision Song Contest and took the second place with the song “We Could Be The Same”. Their latest album e-akustik will be released in the upcoming days.
