Turkish Airlines announces cancelation of flights to and from London, Dublin, Edinburgh
“Due to the snowfall currently seen in London, Edinburgh and Dublin, we kindly inform you that TK 1345 Istanbul/Edinburgh, TK 1346 Edinburgh/Istanbul, TK 1977 Istanbul/Dublin, TK 1978 Dublin/Istanbul flights, that was planned to be operated on March 1, 2018, have been all cancelled. In addition to them, TK 1971 Istanbul/London [Heathrow], TK 1972 London [Heathrow]/ Istanbul, TK 1975 Istanbul/Dublin, TK 1976 Dublin/Istanbul, TK 1977 Istanbul/Dublin, TK 1978 Dublin/Istanbul flights, that was planned to be operated on March 2, 2018, have also been cancelled,” the aviation company said in a statement.
The worst weather since 1991, it trapped several hundred motorists on roads in Scotland, closing thousands of schools and grounding planes.
With up to 90 cm of snow and temperatures as low as minus 10.3 Celsius, Scotland, Britain and Ireland issued their most severe red warnings advising people to stay at home as travel is too dangerous.
