Turkey's top judiciary board to convene with new members

ANKARA
The Supreme Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSYK), which is at the center of grave political turmoil, will hold a meeting with the first-ever participation from its new members on Jan. 15.

Justice Minister Bekir Bozdağ, who took office as part of an extensive Cabinet reshuffle on Dec. 25 following the launch of an extensive graft probe involving Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s allies as of Dec. 17, and Justice Ministry Undersecretary Kenan İpek, who was appointed to his current post on Dec. 31, will attend the HSYK meeting for the first time.
