Turkey's estimated 2050 population revealed

Turkey's estimated population in 2050 will be around 94.6 million people, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Anatolia news agency has reported.

The population of close to 100 million will put Turkey 19th out of 187 countries.

The world population will increase at a speed of around 0.4 percent, according to TÜİK. Turkey is projected to grow at a pace of 0.2 percent, or 109th fastest in the world.
