Turkey’s tourist industry does not require any tourists from Israel, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has told an Israeli paper in reference to recent threats by Tel Aviv to support a tourism boycott of Turkey.
A possible tourism boycott will not have any affect on the Turkish economy, the prime minister said during an interview with Israeli daily Maariv.
"We don't need Israeli tourists," Erdoğan was quoted as saying. "Thirty-one million tourists came to Turkey last year. Israel's tourism boycott won't affect us."
Erdoğan said Israel needed to take three necessary steps if it wanted to improve bilateral relations with Turkey, namely, apologizing for the commando raid that killed nine Turkish activists on the Mavi Marmara in 2010, paying compensation to their families and removing the blockade against Gaza.
Israeli state officials warned citizens not travel to Turkey on March 13, 2012.

OK Chaz, based off that logic, why are you not up in arms for the Native Americans in the U.S. My lord, is "possesion is 9/10th of the law", you have a laundry list of places to protest against. So..why this particular situation?

Nobody should have to endure Israeli tourists, who have a reputation for being rude and arrogant.

@US Observer-You are right inthe situation in HolyLand is a Ethnic Strife bordering on Fratricide, I dont "Slew" insults at Jewish People, I may make uncomplementary remark at the corespondent of the moment, so be it. Starting from the "oint thet "Possesion is the 9/10 of the Law" the Palestinians were the rightfull owners of the Land. If one reads the Memuars of Aba Ebanand/or ItzhakRubin, driingout of lacal population was and still is practice of Succesive Israeli Governments. Is it Justice?

Hey Chas, I thought that was the Palestian argument? We were here and the Jews came? Seems to me that has been THE argument for the longest. I really have no dog in this fight, but seems to me you have chosen a side just as much as the people you are slewing insults at. Both sides are to blame for the current situation, the Palestians are not innocent victims.

@ Hans A. For a while there you sounded like a rational individual, as it turned out you are a bit more insideous version of a insividual on these pages. It's hard to imagine that you advacating disfranchisment of entire Palestinian Nation based on the kindergarten play pan claim "We were here first"

Danny b. It is sad to say that your whole eing has been formed and totaly consumed by Hatred. There is hardly an evidence of rational thought. You are danger to your Country & public at large. Aren't there any institutions that shelter such people?

Chas: What unites Palestinians has been their opposition to Jewish nationalism and the desire to stamp it out, not aspirations for their own state. Local patriotic feelings are generated only when a non-Islamic entity takes charge – such as Israel did after the 1967 Six-Day War. It dissipates under Arab rule, no matter how distant or despotic. The name of Israel exist for millenniums while Paelestinians were used to adress the Jewry.

Chas Spencer: did not see you and other Israeli lovers from your kind arranging a flotilla to Syria. unless the suffer of Syrian people is not of your concern. your are only concern of the poor Palestinian being hanged in thousands by the cruel IDF or executed by gallows borrowed from Iran. Lets see your comment on the Syrian massacre unless you consider their blood as cheaper than the poor Palestinians.

Chas Spencer; Israel existed thousands of years before even the Arab nation was born. while the Arabs were living in caves along with their sheep , the Hebrew nation already new to read and wright believing in one god. Each stone you lift in Israel has ancient Hebrew letters proving that we are the real inhabitants. To enforce it read the book of Marc Twain who visited Palestine in 19th Century. and learn from him how many Palestinian were in Palestine.

Chas Spencer, my parents survived the gas chambers despite and to the disappointment of Jew lovers like you. The reason they been put in death camps is because their home land was blocked by the British and due to mass pressure of local Arabs of Palestine whom happily joined the SS to help the liquidating Jews. Israel is home land for the Jews their faces heading East while praying and Jerusalem mentioned in our prayer books 367 times while Arabs heading Mecca and Jerusalem never mentioned .
