Turkey defeats Italy in Euro Basketball 2015 group match

Turkey beat Italy 89-87 in its first Group B phase game in EuroBasket 2015 Sept. 5.Turkey completed the first quarter 13 points ahead (26-13), while the second and third quarters ended 25-29, and 15-19, respectively with Italy four points ahead in each.
Italy attempted to rally once more in the fourth quarter, but could not overtake Turkey.
In the other Group B games played Sept. 5, Germany defeated Iceland 71-65 while Serbia beat Spain 80-70.
Turkey is scheduled to play against Spain in Berlin at 9 p.m. local time on Sept. 6.
Turkey will then play against Germany on Sept. 8, Serbia on Sept. 9, and Iceland on Sept. 10.
