Traditional bazaars in new contest

A new photography contest organized by the Istanbul Photography and Cinema Amateurs Club (İFSAK) and e-trade website Sanalpazar.com is putting Turkey’s traditional bazaars in front of the lens in an effort to create a visual memory of traditional trade in the country.

The contest is open to everyone and the photos of any bazaar in any part of the country. The selective committee of the contest is made up of photography artists İzzet Keribar, İbrahim Zaman, Gültekin Çizgen, Sanalpazar.com General Director Cem Kesici and İFSAK Deputy Chairman Bural Şenbak.

The top three winners of the contest will win 5,000, 4,000 and 3,000 Turkish Liras respectively. Also, three honorable mention prizes, each of which will be worth 1,000 liras, will be awarded in the contest. Thirty more photographers will also be awarded 200 liras.

Submissions for the contest will continue until Oct. 4.
