TOBB invites Spanish king to Turkey

King Juan Carlos of Spain was invited to Turkey by Union of Chambers Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President and Eurochambers Vice President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu at the Eurochambers meeting held yesterday in Madrid, Spain.Hisarcıklıoğlu was received by Spain’s King Juan Carlos, Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Garcia Margallo and deputy ministers of economy and tourism.
“I gave told them about the chambers system in Turkey and TOBB’s structure. I also thanked them for Spain’s support of our EU membership aspirations,” said Hisarcıklıoğlu in a written press release. Hisarçıklıoğlu stressed that economic ties between Turkey and Spain had increased recently, but that there was still more room for potential growth. According to him , Turkey and Spain can cooperate in the textile, automotive-automotive spare parts, iron and steel, electrical machine and the plastics and furniture sectors.
