Four police officers killed in PKK bomb attack in Turkey’s Diyarbakır Four police officers were killed and two others were injured on Jan. 16 in an outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) bomb attack targeting an armored police vehicle in the Sur district of the southeastern province of Diyarbakır, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.

A bomb planted by PKK militants targeted a police vehicle when it was near an excavation site at the Dicle University campus in the district.

The injured were rushed to the nearby Dicle University Hospital.        

Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
