Three Lithuanian tourists were killed and nine people were wounded after a car accident in the Manavgat district of the southern Antalya province on May 22.

A Lithuanian man, woman and child, whose identities have not yet been revealed, were found dead by search teams inside an SUV 15 meters under water after their vehicle fell into the Oymapınar Dam Lake in Manavgat in an accident.

Nine others, including two Turks – Ertan Ekeroğlu and tour guide Dilek Evren – three Lithuanians and four Germans, were also injured in the incident that occurred after the driver of the vehicle lost control, falling into the lake around 20 meters below, a source said. 

The victims and the wounded were sent to nearby hospitals in Manavgat.
