Three days of humor in Istanbul The 2nd Istanbul Comics and Art Festival (ICAF) will be held at the Saint Joseph Association Club Quartier and Moda All Saints Church from Sept. 8 to 10. 

Featuring a rich program, the festival will bring together cartoonists, animators, illustrators and graffiti artists for alternative art performances during workshops, talks, exhibitions and autograph sessions. 

Designed as a city festival, the ICAF’s workshops will be organized under the titles “Illustration Atelier,” “Hand Lettering,” “Paper Cutting, “Stencil,” Oil Paint Atelier,” “Mandala,” “Book Binding,” “Origami Lamp,” “Marker,” “Fanzine Atelier,” “Animation Atelier,” “Character Atelier” and Skateboard Atelier.” 

Among the leading cartoonists and humorists to join the event will be Hicham Habci, Emrah Ablak, Ethem Onur, Furkan Bilgiç, Kutlukhan Perker, Devrim Kunter, Erdil Yaşaroğlu, Yıldıray Çınar, Sedat Girgin, Ethem Onur Bilgiç, Furkan Birgün, Sümeyye Kesgin, Selçuk Ören, Cem Güventürk, Esen Karol, Çağıl Ömerbaş, Ali Paşaoğlu and Beril Ateş. 

Brazilian graffiti artist Manoel Quitério Santos will also be among the artists welcomed at the festival, during which a city-themed animation film selection will be on screen for three days. 

The opening party of the ICAF will start at 10 p.m. on Sept. 8 at the Bant Mag. pool, featuring DJ and producer Da Poet, Group Ses and the Bant Mag. team.
