They are afraid of us: İYİ Party leader Akşener
TRABZON – Doğan News Agency
Elections will be held “either in 2019 or earlier, but I expect an election on July 15, 2018. If the elections happen then, you can multiply what is happening today by two and that is the Turkey you will be faced with. When you say, ‘I want the [real] value of the hazelnuts I have produced,’ you will be kicked and arrested,” Akşener said, addressing around 5,000 people in the Black Sea province of Trabzon’s Atatürk Square.
“When you say ‘we want the hazelnuts from Trabzon to be a big brand,’ you will be arrested. We have hit the road to say ‘no’ to all of this, to establish justice, the superiority of law and democracy. This is why they are afraid of us,” she said.
In her first address to her followers, Akşener has stated she believes Turkish democracy is “under threat” and the İyi Party wants a free society and to fix the problems of the Turkish judiciary system.
