Tablets not made for handicapped

ISTANBUL- Hürriyet Daily News
Turkey’s Movement of Enhancing Opportunities and Improving Technology (FATİH), a project to bring computerized education via tablets and smart boards, does not include handicapped students, according to daily Habertürk.

Tablets that will be given to students as part of FATİH, a project that the Minister of National Economy Ömer Dinçer has said will create equal opportunities, do not yet address the needs of handicapped students’ needs, either technically or software-wise, the newspaper said yesterday. “We currently have no study regarding handicapped students. There is no such need regarding smart boards. But tablet computers will take shape in due course,” Dinçer was reported as saying.
