SunExpress preparing for change in top management

ANTALYA/FRANKFURT
After 15 years as the managing director of SunExpress, Paul Schwaiger will turn over his position to Jaan Albrecht, the CEO of Austrian Airlines, SunExpress stated in a press release on March 31.

Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines’ joint venture SunExpress is preparing for a change in its top management level. Early on April 1, its Board of Directors met to set the stage for the future, as SunExpress Managing Director Paul Schwaiger’s contract is set to expire in July 2015.

“After 15 years as the Managing Director of SunExpress, Paul Schwaiger will turn over this position to Jaan Albrecht. To ensure continuity and an orderly transfer of management of the Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines joint venture, Jaan Albrecht will assume both the management of the parent company in Antalya as well as the subsidiary company SunExpress Germany in Frankfurt. His office will be in Antalya,” stated the company.

Since 2011, Jaan Albrecht has been the CEO of Austrian Airlines AG. Prior to his current position, he was the CEO of Star Alliance for 10 years.
