Spoken Word Istanbul to hold second ‘Writers’ Retreat’ in Turkey’s Datça

ISTANBUL
Spoken Word Istanbul to hold second ‘Writers’ Retreat’ in Turkey’s Datça Popular multilingual open-mic night Spoken Word Istanbul is organizing its second “Writers’ Retreat” in the idyllic Datça district of the southwestern province of Muğla.

Following the success of its first retreat in June, Spoken Word Istanbul will organize another retreat between Oct. 24 and 30, at a single-story hotel on a hilltop sprawling over a garden with orange and olive groves in Datça. Writers will be able to join anytime during the week from Oct. 24.

Writers at the retreat are able to work alone and join each other for daily feedback sessions, while also taking daily trips to the beach and enjoying local specialties at the hotel and in downtown Datça.

Any writer who is interested in a little time away from the hustle and bustle of the city and in finding inspiration on the Mediterranean with kindred spirits is welcome to join the retreat. The current deadline for applications is Oct. 9.

Spoken Word Istanbul is a community of writers and creative souls who perform mostly original work every Tuesday at the Arsen Lüpen bar in Taksim. For more information, visit: https://www.facebook.com/SpokenWordIstanbul/
