Six Turkish soldiers wounded in PKK mortar attack in Turkey’s Hakkari Six Turkish soldiers were wounded due to an outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) mortar attack on June 11, Doğan News Agency has reported. 

The mortar attack was conducted by PKK militants from Iraqi territory to a base area on Mount Güven in Hakkari’s Çukurca district, according to the Hakkari Governor’s Office statement.

Meanwhile, three village guards who were on duty to search for mines were also wounded due to fire from PKK militants.

The wounded were taken to the Hakkari State Hospital.
