Three militants of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party were “neutralized” in an operation in southeastern Hakkari province's Çukurca district Sept. 30, the military said in a statement on Oct. 1.

The military uses the term “neutralized” for killed, injured or caught militants.

The Turkish General Staff said in the statement that the militants were preparing an attack.

In addition, three terrorists were killed by a drone strike in the Izbe mountain region, located between the Yüksekova and Dağlıca districts of Hakkari. To date, 334 terrorists had been "neutralized" in the province, said the military.

Elsewhere, shelters and gun emplacements belonging to the PKK were destroyed during an air operation in the southeastern province of Siirt's Eruh district.

A flamethrower, improvised explosives materials and medical supplies were also seized in two shelters in Beytuşşebap district of the southeastern province of Şırnak.

Also, an improvised explosive device, which was found by security forces in the Karacakoy district of Diyarbakir province, was destroyed.

One PKK terrorist surrendered to security forces in Şemdinli district of Hakkari province.
