She has been known as one of the most successful and powerful singers in Turkey and is known for her Roman heritage. She has a very sound fan base in Turkey. In recent years she has also become popular in Azerbaijan. Müzeyyen Senar is a renowned Turkish classical music performer. She was born in Gököz in the Keles district of Bursa province in 1918 during the reign of the Ottoman Empire.
