Shaykh al-Islam Paşazade visits Patriarch Bartholomeos
Shaykh al-Islam of Caucasia and Azerbaijan Allahşükür Paşazade, who has visited Istanbul as part of the Eurasia Economic Summit, paid a visit to Fener Rum Patriarch Dimitri Bartholomeos yesterday, before the opening of the summit. The two religious leaders met at the patriarchate by Istanbul’s Golden Horn. The summit is a venue to convene religous leaders in the region. Summit gathers religious leaders Patriarch Bartholomeos, Shaykh al Islam Paşazade, Chief Rabbi Ishak Haleva in Turkey, Deputy Patriarch of the Turkish Syriac Catholic Church Yusuf Sağ and Patriarchal Vicar of the Syriac Orthodox Church in Istanbul, Ankara Yusuf Çetin are among the esteemed religious leaders to address the summit this year.
