Borusan Culture and Arts will once again bring art enthusiasts the audible and visual adventures of painter Carlito Dalceggio and DJ Arkın, also known as Mercan Dede. The pair of artists, who hail from Montreal and Istanbul, call themselves the Romantic Rebels. The duo’s exhibition in Istanbul originally closed July 25, but reopened Sept. 1 due to popular demand. The exhibition will continue until Oct. 5. In “Revolution Revelation,” Dalceggio represents the theme of “revolution,” while DJ Arkın represents that of “revelation.” Revolution, as the artists see it, is an invitation to get rid of the ego and break away from shells and masks to reach a new level of awareness. Revelation describes the inner transformation that follows and completes revolution.
