Erzurum Public Prosecutor’s Office has completed an indictment against suspects who were detained on claims that they aided Iranian spies in the eastern province of Iğdır, Anatolian news agency reported today.

Prosecutors asked for 20 years in prison for the 10 arrested suspects, including two Iranian spies, and one more who was released pending trial, the reports said.

The suspects will stand trial on charges of sharing documents and information about the Turkish Armed Forces, the National Intelligence Organization (MİT), border posts, the locations of public buildings and the heads of several corporations with Iranian spies in return for money, according to the indictment.

The indictment also includes documents, photos and video footage allegedly recorded by suspects for the spies, reports said, noting that the materials were all seized during police operations.
