Prosecutor caught in same car with murder suspect and smuggled goods

An Osmaniye prosecutor was caught in the company of a murder suspect and 10,000 smuggled cigarettes during a traffic check in the southern province of Adana, daily Akşam reported.Police were conducting routine checks on vehicles as part of a series of tougher measures taken against rising cigarette smuggling in the city when they came across a vehicle with an Ankara license plate.
The other man in the car was revealed to be a murder suspect that had been sought by police for the past three years. Boxes containing nearly 10,000 smuggled cigarettes were found in the trunk.
The suspect was arrested on murder charges while the prosecutor's file was sent to the Justice Ministry.
