Program changes at Jazz Festival

ISTANBUL - Hürriyet Daily News
Changes have been made to the program of the 20th Istanbul Jazz Festival, to be organized in July by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV).

The Şanlıkol Hybrid Jazz Orchestra feat. Erkan Oğur (July 5), Bryan Ferry (July 8) and the festival’s 20th Year Exclusive Project “In Memory of Sevinç Tevs, the First Voice of Jazz in Turkey” (July 11) concerts have been cancelled. These concerts are planned to be included in the 21st Istanbul Jazz Festival program in 2014.

Previously announced open-air concerts on July 6 within the Tünel Feast will be taken indoors to different venues in the Beyoğlu and Tünel area. These concerts will be held under the title of “Tünel Concerts” in seven different venues and will be free of charge, except the concerts at the Dutch Consulate General, due to the restricted capacity of the venue.

The “Quartette Humaine” concert by Bob James and David Sanborn feat. Steve Gadd and James Genus on July 9 evening which was previously announced to be in Cemil Topuzlu Open Air Theater will be held at the Haliç Congress Center instead.

The remaining concerts in the festival will be carried out as planned without any changes.

To return tickets due to cancellations and changes in the program, appeal to the box office where tickets were purchased with the tickets in hand.
