A large banner showing a photo of arrested Cumhuriyet editor-in-chief Can Dündar has been hung on the facade of a press organization’s office building in Strasbourg.

The Strasbourg Press Club (Club de la Presse de Strasbourg) and Reporters Without Borders (RSF) have hung a banner that read “Le Journalisme N’est Pas Un Crime,” (Journalism is not a crime) on its office building in one of the city’s most attractive spots, the historic Place Kléber and Rue du 22 Novembre Street.

The hastag #FreeDündar has also been placed on the banner.

Dündar, along with the daily’s Ankara bureau chief, Erdem Gül, was arrested on Nov. 26, 2015, over a story on trucks owned by the National Intelligence Agency (MİT), Turkey’s state intelligence agency, which were stopped and searched in southern Turkey in early 2014 while allegedly carrying weapons to opposition forces fighting the Syrian regime.

Dündar and Gül are facing life in prison according to the indictment.
