U.S. pop icon Lady Gaga arrived at Istanbul’s Atatürk Airport Sept. 14 for her concert at the ITÜ Stadium
on Sept. 16. She was welcomed with great enthusiasm and tears at the airport, where she posed with her Turkish fans before heading to her hotel.

The American singer will take the stage at Istanbul Technical University’s stadium as part of her fourth concert tour titled, “ArtRAVE: the ARTPOP ball.”

The Istanbul concert will kick off the European leg of the Grammy award-winning singer’s tour. The tour takes her to North America, Europe and Asia to promote her third album, “Artpop,” which was released in 2013.

The 28-year-old singer, whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, will perform 78 concerts in 68 cities during her tour, which began on May 4 and will end on Nov. 10. She is accompanied by a 144-member team of dancers, creative directors, stylists and technicians.

Gaga will perform her most popular songs from recent few years, including “Alejandro,” “Bad Romance,” “Poker Face,” “Born This Way” and “G.U.Y.”
