Police officers praised for helping dog cross road in Antalya in Turkey’s south

Two police officers were praised for recognizing a dangerous situation and carrying a stray dog across the street in the southern Mediterranean province of Antalya on May 11.
The officers, who were in the city’s Muratpaşa district, saw a confused dog at a traffic island on a wide road, trying to find the right moment to cross.
After discussing what could be done to help the dog, one officer pulled the stray dog up by its neck and helped it cross the road by carrying it.
The dog left shortly after wandering around the police and onlookers praised the officers for their kind gesture and compassion.
