Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu has gathered with leading figures of Turkey’s business world at a dinner on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos.

Cüneyt Zapsu, the head of Cuneyd Zapsu Consultancy Inc., and Fettah Tamince, owner of the Rixos hotels chain, hosted the dinner in honor of Davutoğlu.

The dinner at Fluela Rixos was attended by both Turkish and foreign politicians, academics and civil society leaders in addition to prominent business leaders such as Vuslat Doğan Sabancı, Arzuhan Doğan Yalçındağ, Mehmet Ali Yalçındağ, Güler Sabancı, Agah Uğur, Ferit Şahenk, Erdal Karamercan, Hüsnü Özyeğin and Ali Koç.

Each table, meanwhile, had a host, with Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan; EU Minister Volkan Bozkır; ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) Deputy Chair Beşir Atalay; Central Bank Gov. Erdem Başçı; the CEO and president of Borsa Istanbul, İbrahim Turhan; Antalya Mayor Menderes Türel; and Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu hosting different tables.

The WEF’s founder and executive chair, Klaus Schwab, attended the dinner along with his spouse, while Ariane de Rothschild, chair of the executive committee of the Edmond de Rothschild Group, a private Swiss bank, attended the dinner as well.
