Turkish commandos train on ‘highest military tower’
Turkish commandos train on the highest military tower in the world, according to state-run Anadolu Agency. Click through for the story in photos...
The agency reported on Sept. 12 that the 76-meter tower at the Eğirdir Mountain Commando School and Training center in the southern province of Isparta started to host training sessions.
Commandos practice “climbing down” techniques including those named as “tiger,” “spider” and “helicopter.”
The tower is part of the 10-30 weeks commando training for enrolled officers and noncommissioned officers .
The tower is also used by guest soldiers from other countries who come to Turkey for training and joint exercises.
