Trump’s biggest donor Sheldon Adelson stops by Turkey in gigantic yacht
Sheldon Adelson, an American casino mogul and a friend of United States President Donald Trump, has made a stop at a southwestern Turkish resort to refuel his gigantic yacht. Click through for the story in photos...
The Adelson family’s 92-meter-long yacht, Queen Miri, anchored at the Kuşadası port on July 30, according to a report by Demirören News Agency.
The yacht ordered 176,000 liters of fuel, which was delivered with a tanker from the nearby port of Aliağa.
Adelson’s yacht, which has 36 bedrooms, a helipad, spa, sauna, gym, swimming pool, and cinema theater, was expected to sail away from Turkey later on July 30 enroute to Sicily.
Adelson is the chairman and CEO of Las Vegas Sands and is worth over $40 billion, according to Forbes.
He is also a major donor to the Republican Party, doling out $5 million to the committee organizing Trump’s inauguration festivities—the largest single contribution of its kind ever given.
Late last month, Adelson made a reference to North Korea’s economic potential and even mulled to open a casino in the country of Kim Jong-un one day.
