‘Tired’ baby bobcat put under protection
‘Tired’ baby bobcat put under protection
An endangered baby bobcat in the Black Sea province of Bayburt has been put under protection by authorities, after it was found in a tired and exhausted state.
Some shepherds in Bayburt found the bobcat kitten in an agricultural field and immediately notified authorities.
Authorities from Turkey’s Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks promptly took the bobcat under protection and commenced its treatment.
The bobcat is catalogued in the red list of threatened species of the International Union for Conservation of Nature. It will be released back into the wild after its treatment has completed.
